This is partly because it is always much easier to criticise someone else than to acknowledge your own mistakes. It is also much easier to give advice than to take it. That's why there are so many experts. We all want to be experts - and we all want to consult experts!
Yet real experts know that, no matter how expert they are, they cannot possibly hope to understand everything. Be suspicious of definitive statements. Only uncertainty is certain.
