.....you wouldn't know it, but life is definitely not a race. We do not come to this earth so that we can compete with one another. Nor are we born to fight. We may experience an instinct to argue or an urge to conquer - but it is hardly the point, or the purpose, of our existence. Those who think that 'winning is everything' are the real losers. They are the ones who are afraid to lose; the ones who feel there is some shame attached to a lack of success.
How, though, can a person be any more successful than when they are expressing warmth, kindness and compassion?
