Inspiration.......

......Do we always look in the right place for it?  Just a thought, but look at it this way - Are sunny places happy places? Where it is raining, is it also depressing? So many often link weather with mood. Such descriptions make for evocative imagery but they are neither fair nor accurate.

Rotten things can happen in hot climates and wonderful developments can occur when the air is icy. To be sure of what's really going on in your world, try looking beyond the obvious and judge from a more profound perspective. You could then find much to inspire you.

Nothing is a waste of time if you use the experience wisely.   (Auguste Rodin)

Let me share some random stuff....

.....with you.

Turn judgement into observations. Try to put yourself in someone else's shoes,
to understand them.  Embody compassion. Everyone has a story.

Start your day with gratitude. End it with gratitude.
Everything in between is much easier when gratitude exists.

The essence of compassion is a desire to alleviate the suffering of others
and to promote their well-being.

You must be the change you wish to see in the world.

It costs nothing to be a decent person.

How people treat other people is a direct reflection of how they feel about themselves

Strong people don't put others down ... They lift them up.

Compliment people. Magnify their strengths, not their weaknesses.

We need to develop a sense of equanimity towards all living beings, expressed through the ability to relate to all others equally.

Listen with the intent to understand, not the intent to reply.

Not easy.....

....but gaining a real quality of life isn't meant to be -

And the first thing to open is.....

This is something....

....we actually do though, isn't it -

If only, if only.....

....if only this was like that, and that was like this. If only we were here, instead of there. And whenever something went wrong, something else would make it okay again. What a complicated set of conditional causes. Would it not be simpler for any of us, when we have such thoughts, to just accept that there are a few shortcomings in the connected situation but that, if ways can be found to live with these, it's always possible for easy, happy experiences to be had?

We may be closer than we think to a situation that can bring great satisfaction. So we owe it to ourselves to relax and adapt.

We can throw stones, complain about them, stumble on them, climb over them,
or build with them.    (William Arthur Ward)
